Sweet ride, can't believe how cheap cars are over there compared to here. Buying one car over there would cost like 1/4th of what it costs here, but taxes and transportation to Norway wouldn't make it worth it.

I'm driving a 2000ish Volvo V40 ([link])

and a 1986 Volvo 740GL
([link])

Those aren't the actual cars but the closest pictures I could find on google... both cars belong to my parents, but I'm free to borrow them when I want except if they need them for work.

hehe it's the only way to go!
No number plates = No speeding tickets :XD:

about that guy and cars i don't know what it's like in norway, i'd think german cars are cheaper there than in the US, but i can definetly cars down here cost a shitload more than up in the US.

I think the fact that so many teenagers over there have sweet, new cars speaks for itself. Over here most of us either borrow cars from our parents or we drive 85-95ish models because they're the only ones affordable.

I know that there's a reason why the taxes for bringing in a foreign car are huge, and that is to keep everyone from doing it. It would be a lot cheaper to buy from other countries, and that would drive our carstores out of business.

I'm not sure how the prices are for the rest of EU, although most of EU-countries try to collaborate on evening out the price differences between them, but I think they are generally cheaper in any country that produces cars, which Norway doesn't. In that case you are probably right about Audis being cheaper in Germany.
